His combination of experience makes him uniquely qualified to provide consulting services during planning, design and construction phases, as well as consulting services for the design of machine components and systems.

John’s experience is extensive in the practice, research and teaching of structural design and engineering. His specific areas of expertise include structural design, code development, structural mechanics, earthquake and wind engineering, flood-resistant building design, infrastructure rehabilitation, corrosion in reinforced concrete, structural testing, fiber reinforced polymer composite reinforcement applications, fiber optic sensing and lifecycle evaluation.
