AIA'S COVID-19 ARCHMAP LETS DESIGNERS SHARE INNOVATIONS
AIA'S COVID-19 ARCHMAP LETS DESIGNERS SHARE INNOVATIONS
For design professionals taking on the challenge of designing for a safer world, here is a helpful resource.
The AIA has built a tool to help professionals share design innovations in response to COVID-19. It’s called the COVID-19 ArchMap.
This map is a repository of design projects professionals can sort through by state. To submit, projects must:
"- Modify an existing building or site to reduce the risk of COVID-19 transmission;
- Develop a new project or strategy to reduce the risk of COVID-19 transmission; or
- Adapt a space to provide healthcare for COVID-19 or other patients.”
Florida projects listed on the ArchMap include Memorial Health System’s COVID-19 ED triage and surge unit structures as well as AdventHealth’s (with multiple Florida campuses including Tampa) Negative Pressure Rooms which are crucial to airborne infectious disease management.
