IMPROVING SAFETY AND PROTECTING THE FUTURE
Building safety organizations and experts from around the country gathered in West Palm Beach, Florida to examine the safety of existing buildings, guidance for building owners and how future disasters can be prevented. The event was held in the wake of the Champlain Towers South condominium collapse, focusing on topics on frequency of inspections, structural safety, maintenance and the application of current building codes and standards.
Our CEO David Karins participated as part of the audience, sharing his expert advice on the restoration of existing buildings and how safety can be assured within the community. Hearing from the panel and other audience members, David was able to expand his knowledge and improve how Karins can prevent future disasters and maintain integrity.
The event led to a better understanding of building codes and encouraged conversations on the improvements needed to ensure the public that existing buildings are safe.
