This parking garage has six stories with 743 car parking spaces. The exterior surface resembles the wind filled sails of a ship, allowing natural light and ventilation into all parking levels while hiding the vehicles from public view.
Karins analyzed the project structure and designed structural elements for the glass canopies, vertical wall sails, handrails, security screens and rooftop canopy, all according to the current edition of the Florida Building Code, and provided signed and sealed structural shop drawings for use during permitting and construction.
